What we collect
Every page is open without registration, and the site has no forms, newsletters or comment sections. Your name, email address and card details are never requested. If you email us, we hold on to the message and your address in order to reply.
Like most web servers, ours keeps an access log. Each hit leaves a line with the IP number, the browser string, the requested path, the referring link and the time. We use those records to keep the site secure, to find faults and to count visits.
Cookies
uk.fo sets its own cookies only. You will find no Google Analytics, advertising pixels or social plug-ins in its code.
- mozbiz_session and XSRF-TOKEN: set only when a uk.fo/go/ link is opened, needed to finish the hop to the operator, gone within about 20 hours.
- mz_vid: a random ID for each browser, set with every page view, lasts a year.
- mz_src: notes the route by which you arrived, set with every page view, lasts 30 days.

Legal basis
For logs and cookies we rely on legitimate interests: a secure website, knowing which pages get read and being paid by operators for readers we send to them. Emails are handled because answering them is what you asked for.
Operator sites
Following a “Get offer” or “Visit” link takes you off UK.fo. From then on the operator deals with any data you hand over, under its own privacy notice. We are not told who you are or what account you open; we only see counts of sign-ups and deposits matched to our tracking code.
Retention
Access logs are held only while they are useful for security and fault-finding. Email correspondence is removed once the matter is closed. Cookie lifetimes appear above.
Your rights
The UK GDPR lets you see personal data held about you, correct or delete it, object to its use, or take a copy away. Send any such request to [email protected]. Complaints can also go to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

When this policy is revised, the new text appears at this address and the date under the heading moves on.
