Wembley Gets a New Partner as Casumo Signs Three Year Deal

Casumo Online Casino, one of the more popular online entertainment operators in Europe, has signed a three year partnership deal with the SSE Arena in Wembley. The deal was negotiated by AEG Global Partnerships and will give Casumo access to an additional 700,000 fans. As noted by the SSE Area stats, these fans will be come from a range of backgrounds. The Arena welcomes patrons from all walks of life that visit the facility for events related to music, comedy, television and sport.

Wembley Arena

Wembley Arena was built in 1934 by Arthur Elvin to house the British Empire Games. It originally also features a swimming pool that was called the Empire Pool. The pool was last used for in 1948, for the year’s Summer Olympics. The area underwent a series of refurbishments in the early part of the 21st century. With a total costs that amounted to an impressive GBP 35 million, the new arena was opened to the public on the 2nd of April 2006. One of the most popular acts of the time, Depeche Mode, played a concert at the inauguration event of the refurbished facility.

Casumo’s decision to advertise at Wembley makes complete sense as the venue has a 12,500 seat the capacity. This alone makes it the second largest indoor arena after the O2 in the UK.

In 2013, a few years after the initial refurbishment was completed, AEG facilities signed a historical deal with the arena. The deal, which was finalised in September 2013, gave AEG the authority to operate the arena for 15 years.

The building has since been renamed to SSE Arena, after SSE Plc. bought the naming rights to the venue for 10 years.

Casumo Sponsorship

Casumo’s presence will be felt both on the internal and external screens at the venue. Moreover, the operator mentioned that they will develop a range of activities to engage their fans. These promotional incentives will be deployed at selected events over the three year period. Social media, which plays a huge role in today’s culture, will also be tapped to reach more fans and increase fan engagement.

Nathan Kosky, the Vice President of AEG Global Partnerships, commented on the new deal and said that Casnumo has a reputation for creating “stand-out” moments much like the ones that Wembley fans have been enjoying for the last seven decades.

He said, “Casumo’s products are designed to create stand- out moments and this is what fans at The SSE Arena, Wembley have been enjoying for over 70 years”

He also mentioned that the partnership will pair Casumo with a much larger breadth of audience that will not only appreciate their fan engagement activities, but also help propagate their brand recognition outside of the arena.

He said, “The partnership will give Casumo access to some of the most engaged fans in the country and we’re very excited to be partnering with a brand who shares our ethos of creating unforgettable experiences.”

The representatives at Casumo were equally excited about the opportunity. The company’s United Kingdom Market Manager, Greg Tatton-Brown, commented on the deal. He said that the staff at Casumo were not only well known for creating enjoyable casino games but also a fun ambience at every kind of venue.

He said, “At Casumo we quickly understood that it is not only about having great casino games, but also about the environment in which those are played. Our product is designed to optimise for happiness, create thrilling moments and make people smile – similar to the experience that The SSE Arena, Wembley delivers.”
